The Persian Meel I bought to supplement my Indian Club training is, thankfully, exactly what I hoped it would be. The weight is accurate, and the wood used is solid (and free of splits or splinters. I look forward to training with it for years to come.
I have only one complaint though. It is a little wider at the end than I would like. Learning shoulder casts includes the risk of knocking one's head a bit, and I would imagine that a starter Meel is better off being a bit narrower at the heavy end. This isn't an insurmountable problem, but one that buyers ought to be aware of; you ought to spend extra time doing pullovers until you have the right awareness before trying casts. Thanks guys!
